Rock buns
So here's the first recipe to be posted. It's one of my favourites, simple yet delicious.
Ingredients:
100g self raising flour
100g whole meal flour
100g margarine
100g sugar
100g nuts/currants/chocolate etc
pinch salt
1 egg
Preparation:
1. Sieve flour and salt.
2. Rub the fat into the flour.
3. Add the sugar and currants or whatevers to your liking.
4. Add beaten egg to mixture. A stiff dough should be formed.
5. Place mixture in rough ‘rocky’ heaps.
6. Bake rock buns at the top of the oven for 15-20 minutes, until golden brown in colour and firm to the touch.
